Yeah, dude, tell me about it! The rear end of that XJ has the spider gears welded (poor man's locker) - so it is murder on the tires on road, but I can't wait to see what it does for me when wheelin it. Once I get the new meats on, that bad boy will see very limited on road use.

Yeah - I was thinkin about that very thing. I'll probably hold off until I actually score a dolly. I wanna see what a 4 or 5" drop hitch and OME HD springs do first. If my current set-up doesn't sag then I won't bother.

^^^ Interesting, though I'm not sure I understand why you'd want the ball to swivel on the hitch. I like the 6" drop version, but, unless I'm missing something, I wouldn't trust having a tongue hitched to a ball that could swivel around if the locking mechanism failed.

There's videos of it on YouTube. I just like the functionally. It does have heavy duty ball locks and the site lets you build your own hitch. Not to sure on the price tag though. I believe it's theoretically a good idea but wouldn't trust it with a heavier load

EDIT:
Okay - watched the videos. Now I get it. Thing is, backing the WK to a trailer is pretty easy to get lined up. I could see the application being of benefit with a bigger, longer truck but I think I'll stick with one with no moving parts. Interesting find, though.

So - I'm at the dealer getting the oil changed on the KK and what do I see:

Well then - I've been making progress with the XJ until this morning. I give the low-down in my Other Build Thread for those interested. Long story short, instead of looking to trailer or dolly the XJ for my next trip I'll be taking the WK.

Going to Keystone/Brekenridge area on the 9-12 of August. Been checking out TrailDamage.com and talking w/ my uncle about their trip out there couple weeks back and the trails they ran.

He and I will be in Summit County, CO and would love to have some WK/XK guys join us on the trails - any Jeepers for that matter. If you're from around there or can make it out - let me know!
