mike14262 build thread

So after a couple years with my jeep reading other people's build threads and having some extra cash I have finally ordered my lift and tires for my jeep and officially begun the major mods to her. I won't have them until next weekend but I figured I would start my build thread now and touch on the minor things I have done up to now. Which admittedly isn't much, I de-badged her completely with the exception of the "jeep" logo on the front and rear and then plasti dipped the badges and rims all black.

What I ordered(picking up friday):
-ARB OME front and rear 2" lift coils
-bilstein 5100 series struts
-cooper discoverer ATP 265/70/17

Future purchases:
Flowmaster supper 44 muffler
Skid plates
Hidden winch
Roof rack
Light bar
Halo head lights
Led tail lights
Cb radio
CAI
Wheel spacers
Front/rear off road bumpers (if I find a company that makes one I actually like)

I was going to upload pictures but I seek to he having difficulties with it right now so they will have to wait.

So quick update, I picked up my tires on friday unfortunatly they are just a livingroom piece until i get my OME MD lift in. the company i originally ordered it through gave me quite the run around with delays and what not, i ended up cancelling my order and going somewhere else. so hopefully i will see them soon. i'll have pictures up as time progresses

And I now have all these goodies which are all going on this Saturday assuming the shops frame lift is free, actually they will probably all go on either way i'll just use jack stands, frame lift would just make life a lot easier lol. I have been talking about lifting my jeep for the two years I have had just never had the money, so went I picked these up from the shipping service I did a little happy dance in front of a bunch of strangers.

apparently it wont allow me to upload the pictures because they are too big. I will have to figure that out I guess. but my 265/70/17 Cooper ATPs and OME MD lift has arrived and is sitting with me in my living room waiting to be installed XD.

on that note has anyone have any experience with this size of tire and lift with regards to rubbing? i don't have wheel spacers, but if they are required I will have to order them asap, and is the pinch weld a requirement?

Just rub it with your finger till it starts to come up. You can use a toothpick to get the part inside the letters.

Awesome. Ill give it a try. Like i said I've heard and seen people use it on just about everything but haven't worked with it myself.
