Might be joining the WK GC group...

Ok i have always been a ford explorer guy and to be honest never had any issues that i wasnt to blame for. no im buying another SUV (used) and i have always loved the WK models and now they are in my price range...

the reason im looking here is for advice... what i found...
2005 jeep GC Limited
5.7L Hemi
Every option except tow pkg and off road pkg....

those are actually the two things i wanted most but the truck is only 12k with 65k miles on it. i do plan on towing up to 5-6k lbs...should i move on and find one with it or can the aftermarket hitches do the trick. the truck is accident free according to both carfax and autocheck and drives perfect. any thoughts and warnings are appreciated. BTW!!!!wife wants me to get a toyota 4runner!!!

I just basically bought the same thing you just described and its fun because my previous rig wasca ford explorer. All i have to say is i love the wk limited its very nice and a the 4.7 is nice but i opted for the hemi and i am glad i did. Its the ram motor so the motor can handle it the brakes were a little soft with 7000lbs behind it but thats what trailer brakes are for.

You can get the oem hitch. It comes with the template to cut the bumper for the stock look.

The grand cherokee doesn't have any problems with 05s that aren't any different that the other years. Common problems are bad window regulators(i think thats the name) and leaky transmission lines. These are very reliable jeeps, and that is a great price on that jeep!!
