MBRP DPF Back Exhaust

What's the real difference between the "Installer", "XP" & "Pro" Series exhaust systems made for the CRD? Not being an expert on various combinations of metals/alloys, etc., what's the real benefit of buying the Pro versus the 2 less expensive models? The "Installer" line is made of "aluminized steel". The "XP" is made of T409 stainless steel. The "Pro" is made of T304 stainless steel. I do want whichever one will be the most salt resistant. I'm moving to the coast and don't want the humid salt air to corrode it too quickly...

I'm sure I researched this a while back. From what I remember the installer series has the potential to rust. The XP may have surface rust and lose it's finish but it shouldn't ever rust through. The Pro series will hold it's finish the best.

I would suggest either the XP or Pro series... I have the XP (the T-409 stainless) system, but I live in upstate SC and don't really have kind of salt around to worry about. If you're worried about the rust I'd go with the Pro system.

300 series is best for corrosion. If they used 316 it would hold up for a long time. 309 is a little easier to work with though.

Thanks for the info guys. I figured that would be the case. There are some really good deals on the XP right now. That's why I asked. I guess I'll save up for the Pro. Thanks again.

If there are really good deals on the XP, I'd go for it. The XP series comes with a lifetime warranty from the date of purchase.
