See if you can talk them down due to the issues and if not find a different one

As detailed in the manual, there are several requirements for remote start to work:

How to Use Remote Start
All of the following conditions must be met before the engine will remote start:
  • Shift lever in PARK
  • Doors closed
  • Hood closed
  • Liftgate closed
  • Hazard switch off
  • Brake switch inactive (brake pedal not pressed)
  • Ignition key removed from ignition switch
  • Battery at an acceptable charge level
  • RKE PANIC button not pressed

bit contradictory there
Whatever floats your boat, I just think the WK's look less like what a Jeep should look like. I like the square profile and having it not look like a new gen Ford Exploder.

How's the statement contradictory? The HEMI will run longer than the chassis likely will. I'm saying that the chassis will need some major work before the engine. HEMIs are pretty stout engines and very easy to work on. Not sure how that's confusing.

I'm going to ditch the 07 overland with 126k on it. Everything is great, minus the miles.

Found another one I'm planning to go look at today, hour drive.
08 LTD with 83k, they are asking $16.7k.
Looks clean from pics... Need to see it in person.
I wonder how much I can talk them down.
The price on the '08 seems right there, I paid $19k for our '07 Overland with 74K and a 4" SuperLift with airbags.

Sorry I did not update. Got the 08 ltd.
Got the remote start to work... Just needed to close the door "duh"

Love this jeep. Big step up from a ltd WJ.
Time for me to get going on maintenance.
Next weekend I'm going to work on basics like spark plug, pcv valve, air filter and oil change.
Since I don't know what the previous owner used for oil, I'm going to go synthetic.
The. Over the next month or so, fluids. And the exhaust leak. Really is not all that bad, but... I'm OCD AS F**K.

Thanks for all the input. I'm al so glad to stay with another jeep.
