Lockers for Commander?

Does anyone know what aftermarket lockers or limited slips are available for the Commander?

I understand that the Commander rear is a Chrysler 8.25 inch. Is that right?

And does anyone know what the Commander front end is?

The front end is IFS so it would not be a axel commonly known to Jeepers... If infact the XK does what the 8.25 rear end then there are lockers for that axel. Check www.xkjeeps.com for info on what axels it has and such...

What 4WD do you have? If you have the QuardaDriveII you already have front and rear electronic Limted Slips... and If you have QuadraTracII you have a Limted Slip in the rear...

I am thinking of getting one with the Quadratrack II, not the CommandTrack II. The CommandTrack II only comes in the Limited and I don't want to spend that much.

Are you sure that the QuadtraTrack II already has a limited slip in the rear end? My local dealer doesn't know anything about it, unfortunately. They say the front end is a "200 mm" and I got the parts guy to confirm that the rear is a Chrysler 8.25. So there are aftermarket lockers and limited slips for the rear (if it does not come with one) but that leaves open the question of what might be available for the front.

Thanks!

If it is the same axle as the Liberty (Liberty has the 8.25 in the rear as well) then a D30 IFS is up front if that helps your search for a locker/LSD.

I thought the commander had the same drivetrain as the grand cherokees, jeep just basically put a different body on that platform.
