I have the Firestone Destination M/T in 265/70/17 and they are wearing very well for me. Been around 12k miles and still have 18-19/32 tread left. Great in mud, dry, and wet pavements. Snow is about a 6 out of 10. As far as road noise they hum a lot but with my intake and exhaust I for sure don't notice it.

PM me for details on Jeep

I thought it looked weird at first but now I think they look weird with them on. They look like they have more lift with it off.

Also I've read the air dam will fit on over the top of the skid, you just can't utilize the middle tabs.

mine came with the lower air dam off and i went out and bought one to put it back on ...

i think once i put front recovery points on and a little bigger tires ill take the air dam off... i just think itll look way too ... empty in the front.

OK, since the last time i posted photos i added the HIR 9012 bulbs the meep or someone talked about (ordered them off Amazon for 21 a piece.) and today i put on the General Grabber AT2. 265/70. The tires make a big difference for sure.

^^^ Wow! That last pic makes it look really close to the bolt. But as long as it clears.

I would say that on a 2" lift...265/70 is probably the biggest you can go...looks good though.

Yep, the wheel clears the bolt. From some of the other pics i saw i didnt think i would have needed to cut that much off. There is a slight rub on the sway bar when the wheel is turned to full lock. But yea, without spacers and just the 2'' lift i think thats as big as i couldve went with the Generals.

clunk noise as in what or from where? Only noise i heard was when i turned the wheel all the way and heard the tread rubbing slightly against the sway bar, that was it.

A lot of chatter on here about a clunk noise, usually from the rear, when going over bumps after the spacer lift is installed. Some have it and some don't it seems.

Looks good dferr. What are your thoughts on the HIR bulbs. Much of an improvement?

If you have a "clunk" noise after installing a lift it's because A: something is loose, or B: you have a bad bushing somewhere.

Typically it's in the front and either the top strut bolt or the sway bushings. If it's in the rear it would likely be the rear shock mount. (if the shocks were changed)

Nope havent had any clunks or weird noises after the lift or tires. I'll be sure to keep an ear open

As for the HIR bulbs, i havent test driven it on the road yet to get a feel for what sort of improvements they are over the stock halogens. However, they do look to be a bit brighter and whiter from what i can tell inside the garage. I'll let you know after i drive at night what sort of difference there is

265/70/17 Nitto Grapplers just got to my house. They look like school bus tires. I'm a little intimidated. Glad I didn't go bigger. Tread is exactly what I wanted tho.
