Those headlights look incredible. How'd you do them?
Without making a full write-up, I'd suggest looking at Omelet's build thread. He did an awesome job showing the painting process! I used a similar idea on mine. Overall the project took me about a week to complete. You will need an oven to open and reseal your headlights. It was a fun project, but I don't think I'd want to be doing it again lol. Here's some close up photos, List of materials, and build thread links
1. Aftermarket set of headlights off Ebay ($100)
2. HID kit and projector set from theretrofitsource.com. I bought the Morimoto mini projectors (mini gatling gun shrouds) with 5K H1 bulbs. They have good quality stuff. You will have to modify the backside of the light housing to make them fit right, but it's simple with a dremel. Everything else in the kit is plug and play. Haven't once had a problem, and their customer service was amazing during my whole project! ($220-250)
3. I got the paint from automotivetouchup.com. Their paints are great quality and the color match was spot on. I also love their spray nozzles! I painted the reflective part behind the projector black with plastidip. It has a good tolerance to heat and got me the flat black look I was going for. ($50)
4. Butyl Rubber Glue (very sticky and messy) and Clear Silicone ($10 from O'reilly)
