key remote dead

what is the cheapest way to get a replacement? one of my 05 wk key remotes is dead and my second is getting pretty weak...what do you think?

buy uncut WK key fob on eBay...swap out battery somehow? i think there is only one screw on theback of the key handle then a tiny little clip...never even tried to take a look in there before.

You can reprogram the key if you have two original ones. If the two original ones still start your WK, then you can use them to reprogram a new one.

This is if you need a new battery

Transmitter Battery Service

The recommended replacement battery is one CR2032 battery

NOTE: Do not touch the battery terminals that are on the back housing or the printed circuit board.

1. With the transmitter buttons facing down, use a small screwdriver or similar flat object to pry the two halves of the transmitter apart. Make sure not to damage the rubber gasket during removal.

As far as I know YES. Haven't had to do it yet though. If anything call the dealership

I've got those same batteries at the wal-mart jewelery counter too. They are what my electric dog collar uses...
