Key dance

My check engine light comes on but not long enough for me to take it to get the code read. I have heard of a key dance for the wk but I can't get it to work in my Laredo. My neighbor did it first try in his limited and then tried it in my jeep but nothin. Is it only for limiteds?

For some reason I don't believe it works on 05/06 WKs. I could be wrong, but it doesn't work on mine.

Save yourself the hassle . You can buy a basic reader that will just give you the codes ( no discription ) and erase for 30.00 . that's basically all the codes the key dance is going to give you ,cause it won't give you all of them anyways .for well under 100.00 you can get a good code reader that will read all obdii , manufacturer specific codes , can codes and give you freeze frame data and erase. for 100-150 you can get one that will give you live data , abs codes and do some diagnostics as well .
