Just finished my 2nd CAI
About a week after I got my WK GCO I ripped the stock intake silencer off and did a quickie CAI. I also added a second air intake to the airbox to allow more air into stock box. Now I got rid of that whole setup and modified an LX SRT (Chrysler 300CSRT, Charger SRT, Magnum SRT) intake system that I had laying around. Took the whole afternoon and the biggest problem was everything had to be reversed, as the LX's have the airbox where the battery is in the WK. I also had to extensively modify the SRT airbox, make new mounts, and fabricate a baffle to keep hot engine air away from the airbox bottom. Now, instead of two 3 in. inlets to the stock airbox and a 3 in. tube from the box to the throttle body, I now have about a 7 in. inlet into the SRT airbox, and the stock 4 in. outlet that necks down to 3 in. at the throttle body. I'll clean it up in the next day or two, since it's finally starting to warm up here. Total cost was about $5. Not bad and looks stock.

Sounds like a monster, can we get some pictures and hopefully a video of that thing pulling in air?

I just drove it today for the first time since yesterday's install. It really sounds nice. I'll be removing it again to clean everything up and do a little more detailing of the install. If you belong to any of the other Jeep forums there are pictures of both the old and the new on a couple of them. I'll also take more pictures after I get it all cleaned up. Fun to tinker and make it work.
