Jorghole's Build

My plan was to replace the 2.8 L engine that is in my '85 Cherokee with the 3.4 L that is much better.

But I found that there are not a lot of cheap 3.4s on the market so I started to look into other options. The more I looked the more I liked the WKs and I really wanted to get a better off road vehicle then the '02 Dakota I owned. I found what I was looking for.

Soon after I had the 4" Superlift on order.

2005 WK Limited, QD-II, 5.7L HEMI, Volant Cold Air Intake, 4" SL Lift, Rusty's leveling kit, DC Gun Metal wheels, 285/70-17 BFG AT KO, 4xGuard Front/Rear Skid, 4xGuard Diff Guard, SA Sliders, Gobi Rack, Cobra CB

I started a list with my wife on what we want to do with the new "toy". As you know that list is always growing. I found many different builds on here that gave us lots of ideas. The first thing that was replaced was the air intake with a Volant cold air system. (For some reason I not have a picture of that but I will get one at some point). With the lift on order I had to get the wheels and tires ready. We decided on the DC Gun Metal 7 with the BFG All Terrain KO.

Here they are before the lift gets installed.

And now we wait........4 Wheel Parts did not get the last box in for over 2 months. But if finally came in. It was a little to much for me and my friends to take care of in the parking lot of the condo so I took it to a shop ran by a friend of a friend. A week later it was ready.

Time to install the 4xGuard Skid Plates and Diff Guard. Got the front done and the diff guard but did not have the drill bit for the rear so that will have to wait for next weekend. Did not take a pic of the diff guard yet but when the rear skid plate gets on there will be a picture.

Now the problem is is that my TPMS is not working. When I left the shop when the lift got installed they were indicating but by the time I got home they stopped. Now At times the front drivers side indicates a pressure that is way lower then actual and the other three do not show. Any Ideas??

that looks awesome... great job. im liking how you kept the chrome alive and went with a chrome rim- rather than black her out. looks great..

as for your TPMS- you need to have them installed on your new rims.

I had new ones installed when I got the tires mounted on the rimes. They are 315 MHz. All of the research I have done says that they are the right ones.

Went in to work for a little while today be left to get the rear skid plate on. I think that was a good idea myself. Got the holes drilled out and the brackets installed. Time to put the plate on, and NO WASHERS! The kit was short 4 lock washers. The powder coat on the skid plate was messed up when I got it but I figured that it would get some good dings in it anyway so not a big deal. So after a fast trip to the hardware store I got it on.

And why not

When I got my belly skid the nuts and bolts that fastened the 2 pieces of the skid together were fine/standard thread mismatched. So, I had to make a trip to the hardware store too........lol........WK looks great, dude!
