Phew it wasn't just me thinking that was odd!

An intro and some details about the Jeeps history would be helpful, i.e. what other expensive faults?

For the OP to rant in on their 1st post with how crap the Jeep is isn't going about things the right way. Yeah its frustrating when things go wrong, or you've not bought correctly, no inspection or didn't cough for a warranty etc, but any used car is kind of a gamble, as you don't know how all the previous owners treated it, drove it, or maintained it, and thats before you (may!) get fleeced by the garage for (expensive) repairs.

I'm confused what is the purpose of his post, coz I'm sure he aint asked how to fix it, or done SFA on searching the internet; as we know as remedies to this problem are well known as are the costs.

No, selling it working or broken would NOT be a problem. They are great platforms.

BTW; I'll come take it off your hands too... I'll tow it home behind my 2008 Grand Cherokee WK CRD!!!

All jeeps are a POC but the WK CRD is a lesser POC than other Jeeps IMHO.

Although not as reliable as other cars/SUVs I've owned, I love my WK CRD and wish I can drive one for the rest of my life.

So far here is what I've had go bad on it
(1) Alternator
(2) Two windshield washer pumps (they are expensive)
(3) COFV valve on Cp3 pump
(4) Thermostat
