That is a beautiful WK! Sorry about the hail damage, everyone around here went through the same mess. Fortunately I was out of town during the storm. Insurance should take care of it for sure. My g/f's parents 99 GC got hit pretty bad and they had a professional shop repair everything under insurance.

Last night while out on a night biking trip I took some light comparison shots. The three shots were taken at f/5, 3", @ISO200.
I'm running a pair of Hella 500FF's in the grille and a 20" Rigid LED on top. Here are the differences:
Hella 500FF:
Halogen bulbs - 3,300 lumens 110 watts total
Ridgid LED 20" E-Series:
LEDs 7200 lumens, 78 watts total

Low Beam:

High Beam + Hella's:

High Beam, Hella's, and Rigid:

Insurance covered everything. I've ordered a ParaMedic hood from BlackOps which should take a while to get built. In the meantime I'm in no rush to get the rest of the bodywork done. All the local bodyshops are slammed and trying to get vehicles in and out as soon as possible so I'm going to wait until they can take their time and do it right, possibly as late as next year.

Yeah, that's probably a smart choice. I had a 06 wk that was silver and it had hail damage(not NEAR as bad as yours) and it reminded me of it.

I just went thru this last October as well with my WK and the freak hail storm we had in Phoenix. My insurance covered everything just had to pay for my deductable. I cant even tell anything happened, those paintless dent removers did a great job. Cant wait to see the new hood.

Glad to hear your WK is still alive and kicking! Probably one of my favorite builds so far.

Finally got my Gibson cat back on. I couldn't stand how low the tip hung so I notched the bumper and had a muffler shop reweld the tip sticking straight out.

Nicely done! May have to steal this idea, as I hate how low my Gibson tip is angled.

The Gibson sounds great! It's not too loud at all, just a warm, mellow tone. I've got MDS disabled via my SC programmer, so I don't know if it would cause drone. It is a 3" from the cat- back, so you can tell a difference in throttle response. I'll probably change the shift points now to keep it in a higher gear further through the rpm band.

BlackOps should have my hood finished and shipped in 2-3 weeks. The jeep will go in the body shop once I get it so it won't look like a golf ball anymore.

Well I started another phase of my lift. I'm working toward 6" total lift using 2" spacers in the rear and either Bilstein struts/additional spacer or OME front strut/coils paired with the Superlift spacer. I want to run either 285/75/17 or 35x12.5x17 for my next tire. So far I've been focusing on the rear. Installed the 2" spacers:

installed SRT8 sway bars to reduce body roll with the new higher center of gravity. These things make the WK handle awesome. 100% on road improvement! They will be disconnected for anything serious off road.

Next up for the rear I wanted to address the slightly altered driveshaft pinion angle and rear axle bieng slightly forward, so I called up Rusty's offroad and they are making rear adjustable LCA's so I can fine tune it. If I want to run a larger diameter tire, the rear axle needs to move back slightly:

Stay Tuned!

-Jay
