Jack points and stands

Want to rotate my tire. Where is the best place to jack up the vehicle and use the jackstands?

TIA

use the cross members on the front (those bars that the suspension and engine attach to)
and on the rear use the differential to lift the jeep, and place the stands under the axle tubes.

^^^^^^^^^^ is correct.

Here is from the manual:

1 - FRAME RAIL LIFT POINT (Floor Jack & Hoist)

2 - FRONT SPRING MOUNT (Lift point in front of spring mount - floor jack and hoist)

3 - AXLE LIFT POINT (Floor Jack)

4 - CONTROL ARM LIFT POINT (Floor Jack)

When properly positioned, a floor jack can be used to lift the vehicle (3 and 4). Support the vehicle in the raised position with jack stands at the front and rear ends of the frame rails (1 and 2).

CAUTION: Do not attempt to lift a vehicle with a floor jack positioned under:

Aluminum differential.
A body side sill.
A steering linkage component.
A drive shaft.
The engine or transmission oil pan.
The fuel tank.

HOIST
A vehicle can be lifted with:

A single-post, frame-contact hoist.
A twin-post, chassis hoist.
A ramp-type, drive-on hoist.
NOTE: When a frame-contact type hoist is used, verify that the lifting pads are positioned properly (1 and 2).

WARNING: The hoisting and jack lifting points provided are for a complete vehicle. When a chassis or drivetrain component is removed from a vehicle, the center of gravity is altered making some hoisting conditions unstable. Properly support or secure vehicle to hoisting device when these conditions exist.

Jack the rear under the diff.
Put stands under tubes out wide.
Jack the crossmember under each side at a time at the unirail.
