I've been waiting for this topic to pop up since Tuesday.

We finally have re-gearing options for our Jeeps. 4xguard had release the 4.11 gears for the front and rear diffs. I was hoping for a topic on this because its going to require some programer modifications. Who is going to be the first to try out the new gears and report back? Maybe we can get some more words from Marlin about the gears and if more are planning to be made if they sell well.
Right now, they have 200 units in stock. 300$ a piece plus 80 for a new shim and bearing set. I'm hoping to picking up a set if they are still in stock in 6 months. Would like to see some reviews and write up on what needs to be done to install them properly.

Im hoping all the SRT guys pick up the 4.10's so that Nitro will make 4.56's or so for us guys running or soon to be running 35's

If you have a diesel, you have the 3.73 ratio. Why would one want to go up to 4.10?

The Hemi's also have 3.73's. And I think most people are just excited that someone finally came out with gears for us because it could possibly mean deeper and deeper gearing depending on how well the 4.10's sell.

What? So 3.73 are better than 4.10 and everyone is excited for these? Sorry, I don't understand gears.

I wouldnt say one gear is better than the other as it depends on your vehicle and mods. A Mod SL lifted wk running 35's and 4.88 or 5.13's would be better than 3.73's but a stock WK would be better with 3.73's vs 4.88's or a deeper gear. Everyone is excited for these as this is the first aftermarket gearing offered to us WK folks since the WK came out. So for people who are lifted with bigger tires a deeper gear will benefit us big time, ie. Better MPG's, better low end power, etc.

Going to a larger tire is the same as going to a taller (lower number) gear. It lowers the cruising RPM and 'shortens the lever' that the engine has.

These gears allow guys to get back some of the 'leverage' lost with larger tires.

I'm still surprised they started with 4.10. 4.30 or 4.56 (whatever is possible with the gear pitch in this axle). Would have made more sense to me.

I ran 4.56 gears with 32" tires and a 545RFE in my Dakota. A FAR cry better than the stock 3.55's were, 60mph at 2100 vs 1500 made it much more fun to drive and better for towing.
