Ipod connection

Hey everyone,

When i bought my jeep the dealership provided me with what they said was an adapter cord to hook up my ipod but when I go to try and use that cord and connect to the plug in my glovebox I dont think they match up. What am I doing wrong?

Thanks.

That is a new feature I don't have on my 08 CRD. I wish it did. I did find this Note on the wkjeeps.com site.
Note: iPod support is only available today through Model Year 2009 radios via a serial port out the back of the radio. It is not currently an upgrade for Model Year 2007 and 2008 radios.
You might see if you cable can be plugged into the back of radio somehow.

I didn't think mine matched either and it turns out there was a cap on the end of the plug that actually looked like part of the plug.

There is a inserted piece of plastic at the end of the cord in the in the glove box you have to pull out.I think it is there to protect the little pins in the connecter. It looks like the connecter only backwards.Easy to pull out though.I took mine out and the adapter cord plugs right in.I have a 2008 CRD Laredo with the REQ radio.
