I drove to Waynesville and back to Asheville today and burnt a 1/4 tank.. so the way you drive you spend at least 70 a week in fuel. I would spend that Franklin on something gas mileage related.. When was the last time you changed the plugs and air filter, egr, pcv.?

Take the $100 and put it towards a diablosport intune. That's a 3mpg bump right there. They cost around $340

Champion 570 ALWAYS cheapest and best plugs IMO,,, Im sure others will agree with me.. Get a new wireset to.. You will still have some $ left over.. It will take you about 2-3 hours to complete if you work slow and steady.. dont rush it..

Any benefit to new wires, apart from tidiness?

New wires are always recommended when you swap plugs. and the shorties are just for looks, IMO.. They clean up the rat nest of the stock wireset, but if you keep the hemi engine cover on there is no other reason to spend 30+ more dollars on the shorties..

The shorties also change the exhaust stroke spark to 2 ignition stroke sparks.. From what I researched, there is no change in hp or gas mileage when you go to shorties.. just the clean up.. But it is kinda confusing on why it doesn't change anything since it is changing when the spark plugs fire. Get me?

Gotcha, not to jack this thread but do the wires really need to be changed every time I do plugs? How much are they?
