HVAC panel lights

2005 WK-All of my lights stopped lighting up on my HVAC panel. I know my problem is no power to the wire because I had spliced some after market gauges into it and they no longer light up either. All my fuses are good. Anyone have an idea as to why its not getting power to it? All my other dash lights are working. Thanks!

They are incandescent bulbs that more than likely burnt out... I just replaced my buddies lights a few days ago with LEDs

hvac, the two switch bars, the shifter, and the xfer case switch are all on the same circuit. It is driven by the instrument cluster, there is no separate fuse for it. If in fact that circuit is dead, you might be heading for a new cluster. Fuse 10 in the IPM *might* be something to look at.

the hvac and switch bar lights are incandescent, and they do burn out. Some info in http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/f67/h...thread-1334788 ...

OK, thanks. I didn't notice the shifter or transfer case switch. I will double check all that.

Just a tag on question. If one replaces the HVAC incandescent bulbs with LEDs are they as bright?

The HVAC LEDs are about as bright as the bulbs, if you use the right LEDs and align them correctly.

The switch bar LEDs can be amazingly bright, I recommend a fairly large resistance to tone them down..
