Roughly two quarts for the t-case, roughly seven for a 4x4 transmission.

Yup it has 2. One that looks like an oil filter and the other is the regular looking flat one. I drained about 8qts when I did my tranny which I thought was a lot. I put 8 back in and it still looks like it needs at least one more qt. I've been reluctant to add more but last night I added a half qt. I'll see how it looks later today.

The stealership is the only place I've found it (outside of eBay), and it isn't cheap. I recall it being in the neighborhood of $17-18/qt.

According to AMSOILs website, you can use the stuff they offer for Transmission, Transfer Case, and both Differentials.

So they claim. The NV245 fluid has a weird additive package, however, and AMSOIL is notorious for selling things that don't meet the standards they claim to. (And heck, they don't even claim the tractor fluid meets the applicable standard. Just that it works.)
