yeah, horrible. i am happy mine are worn after 30k miles. now i am runnig KUMHO I Zen KC15 in 255/60-17. really great on slippery roads excellent in snow.

I dont like OEM tires on many cars, most of them are just to have some rubber on rims.

Hi Folks
I have been reading everybody's thread here on tire. First Tire Rack is pretty good when it comes to testing and evaluating tire - The first tire on the list is a Goodyear Fortera tripletred - high rating for all weather. In Maryland we have a couple of bad weather months, so I need a tire that is all season. If I was really concerned about the weather, I would have two (2) sets of tires - winter snow tires and summer tires. So it up to you based on your location in the world.

PS: on my 96 GC jeep - I had a set of chains for real heavy snow that would pulled me thru anything.
