Help Diagnosing Front End Popping Noise

I have recently been having a popping noise from my front driver side suspension. It happens over bumps and sometimes when braking or speeding up (basically quick changes in speeds). It sounds like its coming from close to the wheel. I recently had my front struts replaced and it helped a little bit in terms of it not happening quite as often (like the new stiffer struts are keeping things in place a little better). Nothing seems loose while the wheel is on the ground. I've also had it in the air and nothing seems to be loose either. My question is what is the best way to diagnose a front end noise? Thanks in advance for the help!

Most likely a bushing or ball joint. New shocks seem to help reveal what's loose.
