Good Buy? '07 Limited w/ Hemi...

Hi Guys,

Just wanted to get some thoughts on this GC Limited I just came across.

2007 Grand Cherokee Limited
5.7L V8 Hemi
70k miles
$17,100 list price

What do you guys think? What would be your "off the lot price"? Should I be concerned with buying something with 70k miles on it? I've heard severals having issues with '07s, related to stalling, sudden loss of power, etc. What do you guys think?

Thanks!

Sounds like a fair price to me how does everything look? Will you be replacing tires, brakes ect anytime soon?

It looks very clean. No unexpected rust anywhere, no dings, dents, scratches, very clean and sharp looking silver Jeep. I'm not too familar with the GCs - what should I expect is nearing replacement time at 70k miles?

Tires look good, probably good for another 2-3 years. I'm guessing suspension components are probably getting near replacement. No idea on plugs, etc.

Just looking for any and all thoughts before I pull the trigger. Any issues with high mileage on these? I would have no hesitation buying another wrangler with so many miles becasue i have 150k on mine. Can you expect the same life out of the GC?

Thanks!

I'd buy one with 70k, my last Grand (99 WJ) had 71k when I bought it. I ran it up to 193k before selling it to my brother.

My current WK had 47k on it when I bought it last summer and I just hit 66k this morning. So far, nothing major to speak of and it runs great. I've replaced the battery which was most likely original and had to replace the thermostat because the gasket was trashed and leaking. I've been super happy with the Hemi power and the Jeep overall. I paid $17,800 for mine with 47k miles last year to give you an idea on price-

my owned-since-new 07 Hemi Limited has 80K on it right now, and knock on wood I've had no trouble with it. Well, except for the tear in the driver's seat.

Anything specific that I should look for? Any known problem areas or issues that I should look for? I'm going to take another look this afternoon. Thanks!

Any messages on the display (Service 4wd, Brakes, etc) and I would also test any/all electrical things like power windows and sunroof. If you can take it to a dirt road, it wouldn't hurt to put it in 4LO if you can.

You can go here to download an Owner Manual. The maintenance is listed in there.
