general questions....please help!!

Sooo where do I start?

Im looking to buy a lift for my 07 WK and have done a little research concerning different brands.

Can someone explain to me the difference between the Old Man EMU, Rough Country, and Rocky Road Outfitters. I see they vary a bit in price and would like to know why. Are they different lift heights? Whats the best in everyones opinion, and what can i expect to pay for the Old Man EMU for a complete setup.

Also, can anyone tell me a little bit about wheel spacers. I have heard, and it makes sense to me, that if you use them you will get a good bit of gravel and other debris thrown up on the side of your vehicle due to the tires sticking out. Has anyone experienced this? What are the advantages to having them? Would I be able to run 285/70/17s if I used them with the Old Man EMU?

Im really just looking for some knowledge on these lifts, and what most people favor!

Others more knowledgeable then I will chime in, but I suggest you continue to research, once you have a basic idea of want you want contact Kolak on this forum. Kolak is a wealth of knowledge and is an excellent vendor who can make sure you get the right lift for your needs.

Personally I ordered am OME HD lift from Kolak. Currently I have 1.25" spacers and I'm running 265-70-17 Cooper Discovery tires. I/m waiting for the lift to arrive. (the wait is killing me)

I'm no expert, but with the HD OME you can expect close to 3" up front, and 2.5 in the rear. The OME like many other lifts, levels out the rake of the Jeep.

I have the OMEHD....Measured from the center wheel cap to the bottom of the fenders I am at 22" all four corners....measure your setup now and it will give you an idea what you will see with the OME HD
