As far as I know my vehicle is bone stock. 2007 CRD QDII. The reading on my EVIC last tank was 24.6, but I actually went 382 miles on 14.1 gallons = 27 MPG, so the computer is a little off. When I bought it the EVIC read 19.7 MPG, so Ive been able to manage about 5 MPG better than whoever was driving it previous to me.

Just did 1700 miles in 2 days colorado to Michigan averaged 27 on the first 3 tanks almost ran out in the middle of Kansas on dirt. Ran for almost twenty miles on "0 miles until empty" long story but I sure wasn't planning on doing that managed 517 miles on one tank. Last tank coming into Michigan I only got 24mpg I'm blaming that on dpf regen. Got the delete tune and waiting on a pipe. Eco tune stock running on 245's. Would love to see a straight pipe tune to delete those damn cats and possible bigger turbo. I tow a lot in the mtns with a 06 cummins, upgraded the turbo and exhaust and gained 3mpg towing, close to 30% gain with no tuning. Would love to see what gains the jeep would do.

Never trust the evic I've never gotten below 20 mpg and it has never read over 20.5 FYI always hand calculate if you want the truth.

I was doing 45 for a 60 mi stretch, so it's not overly realistic. The best realistic tank I've gotten is 25 MPG at 65 mph. All my numbers are GPS verified.

I've found that beyond 110 kph (68mph), for every 10 kph faster I drive, I drop just over 1 MPG. I definitely think that 30+ MPG is possible with a stock vehicle and ECO tune, but at 45 mph, nobody's got time for that.
Yes, I would be happy with 24 MPG, but I usually get anywhere from 20 to 22, depending on driving style and speed. (24 mpg is the exception) This is with 31.5 inch tires and a 2" lift. I know speed kills the mileage, especially with those 3.73 gears. That's why I try to stay under 70 mph whenever possible. I am hoping the Eco-tune will bump me up to 23-25 mpg consistently. I would be pleased with that.

Unfortunately, I am working in wisconsin for 2 weeks and my wife is driving my jeep while I'm gone, so it will be a while before I can do my own MPG validation. She does not know how to drive to optimize mileage.

Installed GDE Tune last week. Asked wife if she could stay between 65-70mph so I can get a feel for what the mileage might be. She responds ", but I have the cruise set at 72" I feel your pain...

I just installed my tune on Wednesday. Only around town so far. Will be taking a trip this weekend. seems like the lag on starting from a stop has disappeared. the jeep seems to "coast" more. I find I am having to use more brakes coming up to stop signs and lights. Just first impressions so far. Will know more after this weekend.

UPDATE: Still on 1st tank. My wife has put just over 350 miles on the tank since the EcoTune and the computer is showing 150 miles to empty,. The EVIC "miles to empty" is usually fairly accurate once it gets off the full mark, so I think she is going to get a 500 mile tank. That will equate to about 23-24 MPG, which is awesome for her. She usually gets 20 MPG when she drives my Jeep.

Can't wait to get home and see if I can do better!

the first full tank after the eco tune (80% highway 20% in town) net me 24.2.
we were late so most of the highway was around 75. same trip last year (all highway at 62 got me 21.7) so it is up. It will get a better test this upcoming weekend.

1st tank results

I just got back from Wisconsin and my wife was still on the 1st tank since installing the EcoTune from GDE. The low fuel light just came on this morning...I was hoping she wouldn't have to fill up before I came home, so I could fill the tank to the top of the neck like I did when I filled it up last time. Luckily, she didn't have to. I just filled up and here are the results: 506.9 miles (GPS verified)/21.387 gallons = 23.7 MPG. Her driving is probably 60-75% highway. I am very happy with those results. She drove the previous tank in my Jeep as well and the results were 20.1 under the same conditions. I do think, however, that she drove with a slightly lighter foot than normal once she saw how much better the EVIC was reading after the tune (EVIC reads between 3.5 to 4.5 low BTW). She kind of got excited about getting 500 miles from a tank, once I told her she was on track for that. I will be keeping track of at least the first several tanks with the tune and post results.

Thanks to everyone for taking the time to post results on here. I have been wanting to do the GDE tune for a while, but just didn't believe it would work this well until I read so many positive results with ZERO negative ones. Like everyone else says, "I wish I would have done it sooner." True...true.

!!woo hoo!!

My EVIC MPG readout is 6% low every time I do the manual calculations, and I also fill till I can see liquid NOT FOAM in the filler neck. I go to the same pump every time I want to take a sample, so I'm confident I'm getting valid data.

right now I have 24 MPG average according to EVIC that works out to 25.4. Students are back in town, traffic got a lot worse, and my Jeep only get s 25 MPG.

oh, somebody call the Waambulance ;-}
