I've had them on various vehicles for years now. They work great, never had any issues. And on the wk you can do an oil change without removing the skid plate! Just make sure you get the one with the nipple.

Yup, awesome addition. I got the one with the nipple and carry a 6" piece of tube I slide over it before I open the valve. No mess at all.

2008 CRD QDII, OME HD, Pintlers wheels with 265/70/17 Goodyear Silent Armour's, Jeepinbyal UCA's. 4XGuard Front guard, Side Guard, belly guard, Matrix HC. GDE ECO Tune w/ delete.

I have not tried it yet, just speculation at this time. Try it both ways, partially off then fully off. When I have a chance I'll find an empty parking lot to test it out. The issue is NOT reduced with the tune, still the same if you are talking about the cut-out issue? As for lag is it tremendously reduced (especially with the HOT tune) and you will take off much faster!

can someone link the proper fumoto valve to use...i might aswell pick one up...oil change in 2 months
will probably go with the Mobil 1 0w30

2008 CRD // GDE Eco // DPF delete // 3" intercooler // OME HD // 265 dirtytracs etc.

F106N for the one with the nipple, thats the one I have.

If I could do it again I will probably go with the F316L (M14x1.5) since it has a 90deg nipple. Which I think is better for our application but didn’t realize they offered until now.

I just bought a 2007 Grand Cherokee CRD last weekend that is completely stock. I have a list of things (fluids/filters/exhaust/EHM...etc) to take care of before I get to the tune. While I'd like to get the GDE tune, one thing that has me worried is the torque output on even the Eco tune. The site lists a torque output of ~440 ft*lb. It is my understanding that these transmissions are only rated for ~420 ft*lb? Is my information incorrect? It was hard finding any information on these transmissions because of the rename Jeep did to the MB trans. What is the most miles people have on their Jeep with an ECO tune? Any trans problems?

I would do some reading up on the SRT8 as they use the same trans. Do some exploring on SRT8 forums and see when they start having trans problems. A lot of people are running tunes and I have yet to hear of a transmission related problem caused by a tune. Torque limiting in 1st and 2nd are still there I believe unless you specifically ask for the limiter to be removed.

Ah, great to know as I thought this trans was unique to the diesel, but if the SRT8 has the same trans and the tune still keeps the torque limit for 1st and 2nd then that alleviates my apprehension!

Just an update. A few posts back I was having issues with the scan tool. I was not able to download my stock tune to send it to GDE. Anyways GDE replaced the scan tool and I was able to email them my stock tune. I cant wait to receive the Hot tune!

@Xmind - I read (on a different forum) about a CRD owner in Europe claiming to achieve 610 Nm (450ft/lbs) torque on a dyno. I have registered 400ft/lbs using TorquePro for Android (not the same as a dyno but it's only $5). I'm confident the W5J400 can handle the Hot tune's torque increase, provided it's maintaned properly.

Hot tune installed! The WK drives a lot better with this tune! Once I get some free time I will install the dpf delete pipe and switch to the tune with no DPF.
