Gas mileage indicator malfunction

Since I bought my WK in April, everytime I fill up, the gas mileage indicator has been a steady 535 km. A few weeks back when I filled up it read 627 and I thought to myself... bonus. Now the last couple fillups have read under 500.

Has anyone else experienced this? Is there some sort of reset I can do, or is the gauge malfunctioning and needs replacing?

Just thinking.

Try to compare the readings recorded on Trip A vs Trip B and see if the miles driven agree.

It will re-calculate based on your average speed and fuel consumption. So if you were highway driving when you filled up it estimated better fuel economy so longer distance. If you filled up after city driving it will show lower estimate.
