Frustrated 05 Jeep Grand Cherokee Owner!

My 05 Jeep Grand Cherokee, 5.7L Hemi, has been throwing out "Service Electronic Brake System" "Service 4WDR" and makes a clunking sound when I take off from a parked position. One day these codes will be present and the next day they wont. The first time I took Jeep to mechanic they removed the parking brake (hand brake) from rear wheels as mechanic thought it might be that as it appeared to be shot which it wasn't. I'm taking it in for the 2nd time to mechanic thursday any suggestions would be much appreciated on resolution... Thank you!

Change your mechanic. Seriously, anyone that starts working on WK without scantool will just make things worse.

Clunking sound - probably shot top bushing on differential. Not related to other issues.
Service EBS and 4WDR - needs proper diagnosis. Every code is stored in computer. Could be anything from loose connector comewhere, failing abs sensor, tire height difference.
underscore likes this.
