First DIY service

Advice greatly appreciated here .....

As my 3.0 CRD is no longer going for dealer service I need a bit of info.

I've serviced cars for years, just never this engine.

Are there any good service diagrams out there ? ( I can't find them )

Is the oil filter a throwaway canister or an element replacement type ? Pics I've found show both..... Confused or what !

How often does the cabin pollen filter need replacing ?

Does the auto box need any top up and or filter change ?

How many diesel filters are there and where are they ?

On this engine, is the diesel line self bleeding , similar to the old 2.7 CRD GC where you could just crank it until it fired ?

Thanks in advance for any answers. I know it's basic stuff that'll become second nature but at the moment a mystery lol.

I have found that you can buy the full factory service manuals (6 volumes)
in paper on ebay for not so much money.

I recommend the paper copies and not the CD's.

They will help you fix anything and have ALL the answers.

Just the wiring info alone is worth the price.
