I do like that perforated steel. Looks like it would even stop the bugs from getting in, but does it have enough airflow? Do you run hot with all that? Did you do the bottom too?

I did not do the lower portion yet, I am considering it. But the jeep has ran normal operating temp since I installed the grille. And its been 90+ the past few days.

Looks cool, but I wouldn't spend $70-80 on that lower piece when there are people who did the bottom

Here's my idea for doing the lower.

Just finished my grille today! I think it came out pretty good and is what I was looking for. I did almond colored white on my white car.

A great modification that should have been done at the factory. Looks great and should probably eliminate any problems with bugs or road debris getting in the radiator.

What about something similar for the lower part of the radiator below the bumper. My rad is already all dinged up and loaded with bugs and junk.

MHO ... that may look cool, but if the frame is plastic, then it is just that.. looks cool, no impact resistance.
It needs to bolted to a frame or sub-frame, maybe some 1/4" hot roll?, so a branch from some bush doesn't penetrate the rad.

I put a lower on mine, easy, but you may have to remove the bumper cover (which is also easy.)

Nice work everyone! I did a similar mod to mine but cut out individual pieces for each opening and placed over the outside of the plastic slats, no cuts at all to the grill and its extremely sturdy so really no worries about anything larger than 1/4" getting through it.

This might just be the best looking one yet, in my opinion.

I would have done it this way, but I personally have no imagination and can only copy others, great job!
