It is! I am looking at running the Goodyear's as Summer tires and picking up a set of Nitto Trail Grapplers (285/70?) for winter and heavy trail use. What do you guys think about running 285s on a V6?

I know that piepenbrook is running 285/70 Destination M/T's on his. I'm pretty sluggish with the 265's and I don't really know if I even need 33's. If you do a lot of rougher wheeling it may be a good investment though.

Inside pictures coming soon! Still muddy from wheeling, and it's been pouring here for over a week straight, so hopefully on the next trip home we'll get it cleaned up! I am looking into the 265 Nittos as well. I would just prefer something a bit wider with some extra bite on the sides. Does anybody know if there are some decent - AFFORDABLE rock rails out there? I've checked out the 4xG and they appear promising; but I don't think I have seen anybody running them here.

Trail Grapplers look great, I loved how mine looked on my Jeep... they are really really heavy though. about 68lbs a piece in the 285/70/17 size. Just be aware of that.

Like the guy above said, the Trail Grapplers are a heavy tire. My 295s weigh more than my 35" BFGs! However that being said they are an amazing tire. Just know your power and gas mileage will suffer.

I used to run the 4xG rails then switched to the Steel Armadillo sliders. Having ran both I would choose the SA sliders! That is unless you want some rocker protection but really want them to look factory and don't mind less protection out of a heavier product.

Omelet, that synthetic line looks sick! It's definitely the route I would go. I'm pricing out having the plate welded up, if I provide the steel, what you you guys consider a decent price to have the winch plate welded up?

I was quoted like $325 I think by a local shop. I ended up just buying the steel from them and doing it myself.

Ya man synthetic is the way to go for sure. There are so many benefits over steel. I'm not sure what a fair price would be for welding as I have never looked into it.

Yeah sounds like a good idea. I'm not programmed yet and I'm getting an average of 12 so I'm most definetly going to stay at the 265 size with the V6

Big list of To-Do items soon! Ordered some Hella 500ff, Philips HIR Lights, white paint to do the headlight housings, LED Strips for rock lights/work lights, LED Daytime Running Lights (see Omelet), an aux fuse block, as well as a Aspen Offroad Switch panel, filled with OTRATTW Carling V Tech Switches! Oh, and duplicolor Graphite wheel paint! Can't wait to get to work and take some pics!
