DPF Delete

Lots of Info available already on a DPF delete & good stuff!!, but wanted to throw a question out there as to the software part.

I'm not after more performance, just the DPF delete.

Anyone ever tried to trick the ECU with resistors vs software ? like the swirl motor trick ?, anyone care to guess if it's possible to put resistors in place of the two sensors with a value that does not trigger a regen ?
would the system look for pressure diff over time ?

Doubt it. The swirl motor circuit basically just checks for motor continuity while the DPF pressure sensors correlate with engine load. I bet a constant value would confuse the computer when the indicated pressures didn't change when the engine was under high load. Better off with GDE, IMO.

A simple resistor would not be possible on the DPF pressure sensor. The ECM looks for a range of values and you would need to create a circuit board to simulate those values. Also, the vehicle would probably go into regen every 1000 miles or so because the stock software requires a regen after so many miles even is the DPF isn't plugged. In diagnostic software you can pull up miles since last regen and it will tell you. With DPF delete tuning it just list zero because the maps have been modified to eliminate that function. Unfortunately the only way is through tuning.
