door locking/windows

Hi I have a 96 grand cherokee that has the following problem, for a while now I havent been able to open all the doors even though i'm hitting the fob button twice just the driver door unlocks but just today the fob wont unlock or lock the drivers door on the key fob it makes the whineing noise so the motors working but like i say wont lock or unlock, and also I cant lock or unlock the drivers door on the key it wont move, also the side lights that flash when u lock unlock the car have stopped flashing again when i use the key fob and the windows have stopped working all at the same time!!.The good news is the car still starts I would be gratufull for any advice on how to fix this.

First thing I'd check the fuses. Next if that doesn't fix it, I'd check the keyless entry module and the fob batteries. If all that checks out I'd look into the door lock actuators. But really sounds like a fuse problem. Could be because something in the doorlocks is blowing the fuse.

Good luck, and also someone in the correct year model forum might have a similar experience with that model vehicle. Try moving your post there also.
