do they make this....

allrighty so i apologize for such a DUMB thread in advance but its been killing me and i cant find it anywhere so im hoping someone has seen it ... im looking for a simple 4 flat connector for a trailer but ... i want it to fit into the stock 7 pin bracket ... i currently have a box thats mounted over the bracket

sorry if im not making sense so heres a pic ... the box is where the 7 pin is but basically what im looking for is a 4 pin socket that will and screw into the bracket i do not have the 7 pin bracket and if i remove the box theres just a hole but i want something that will be strong

Yes they do,or they did as my OEM hitch when I bought it can with the same thing you are looking for. They called it a adapter plate I believe, bolted in place of the 7 pin hole and held the flat 4 wiring.Where to find one now I could not tell you.

Thank you tj, I was looking all over as well and "adapter plate" was all I needed to lead me to an answer. These look like they should fit the stock mounting bracket on the hitch. Skip to 20 sec on the 6 pole video if you don't get what it's doing.

Do you have th factory tow package? If so, look under the bumper to the left of your hitch an you will see a four pinn adapter as well built in.

i do not have the factory i installed a factory hitch and bezel and i installed a aftermarket 4 pin adaptor thats kind of like "jimmy rigged" on there and i wanted to go more of a stock look with out instaling another wiring harness

http://www.etrailer.com/Wiring/Hopkins/37175.html

this is actually the best bet for me to fill up the bracket and make it look like its meant to be there

I bought the same adapter modernblue posted, only to find out what brutus points out when I did my rear hitch mod for the spare. Live and learn.
