difficulty steering/loss of power steering???

i have an 05 HEMI with about 22,000 miles...the last month or so, it has occasionally been very hard to steer. it is almost like the power steering was not working. it seems to happen more after an extending time on the highway when I slow down to take a corner. has anyone experienced this?

there also seems to be some difficulty steering occasionally when i back out of my driveway in reverse, turn into the street, and put it into drive and take off.it also sounds a little clunky when i shift into drive. i was almost wondering if it could be something with the four wheel drive?

thanks for the help, as i am not very technically inclined
