Great FAQ thread

Hope it helps, these are more generic and not so Jeep specific but I figure if people can pull the codes this will at least get them in the right area.

Just my luck, mine isn't on the list!!!!! P0456

My codereader booklet lists it as a "EVAP system leak very small"

Does anyone know if this means I have to replace the charcoal canister, or just look for a hose or pipe leak?

P1417 on the dash DTC readout

My code P1417 isn't on the list either????

Any ideas anyone?

it sounds like I have one or more cylinders not firing properly.

I have had the orange "check engine" light coming on and off for the last few week now.

very confusing!!!

Thanks in advance.

This is a good thread to bump up...

I had P0191 "fuel rail pressure sensor out of range...." (or words to that effect) show up as a "grey code" (pending fault, not confirmed) a few times. The other day, it came back confirmed, & threw a CEL. Turned out to be a pinhole leak in the fuel line leading from the filter housing. Replaced hose, code gone
