Dealer Lifts & Option Upgrades

I've seen reference in these and other threads to a few dealers who have put lifts on jeeps prior to selling the vehicles new. Does anyone have experience with this? I know lifts for commanders are still being developed, but have they done it for GCs and Wranglers? If so, is there anyone who knows of a dealier in the mid-atlantic who does this?

Also, I was test driving a red Hemi Limited yesterday (maybe the one I'll buy ) but it did not have some of the options I am looking for, like DVD and nav system. The dealer insisted that they could install these in their shop after ordering the parts from Jeep, and that I would not be able to tell the difference - it would be exactly the same as if the car had come from the factory with these options. Has anyone else done this or had any problems with things like a nav system installed by a dealer? I can't imagine that the techies at the dealership are as knowledgeable and skilled in assembling Jeeps that they could do this with the same quality as the guys in detroit. But it would save me from having to look all over the area for the exact options I want.

Of course, I could order it, but I don't have the patience

Personally, I wouldn't have them add options---too much to go wrong. Besides, the "parts" will be more expensive.

Your dealer, or you (on Jeep.com), can search for what you want at other dealers. they're being lazy! (or stupid!)

All of the electronics you're looking for are pretty much plug and play. They only difficult thing to install would be the stock antenae for the satelite. Plus, being that all the add ones are MOPAR certified electronics, they cant void your warranty. You're probobly better off trying to install it yourself if you have a bit of tooling experience.
