The plastic pins? I'm pretty sure I just got a flathead and went to prying. A couple were a pain in the ***!

The pins were a real pain in the a**!! So I broke em all off . Bottom line is I got the plastic covers off and man does it look a lot better. Working on the second side now, and later I'll be applying bedliner.

Heck yeah man! I just broke my clips off, committed to bedlining the rails and 6 mos later I still love them. When it snowed in CO and the roads were salted, I was really glad to have bedliner instead of plastic and exposed steel

Both off! And officially 0 surviving clips.

Jake and Sheepdog, what did you guys use to cover up these 2 holes? (1 per side)

Are the front bumper pins just as bad? I got Smittybilt tow hooks for the front, and I wanna have it put back together in one day. Aka have extra pins ordered and present when I install.

The pins on the bumper aren't as bad. And I started out by putting gorilla tape over them and then apply bed liner hoping it would completely cover the tape, wasn't happening and just looked tacky. So I just left them uncovered

Do you put anything on them to cover permanently? Or is there nothing underneath.

I'm not sure I just assume it is hollow. There wasn't anything covering them to begin with so I'm not to worried about it ruining something if I left them the way I found them

I just bedlined everything and left it the way it is. Although, I did buy some JB Weld with the plan to smooth it over the holes for a better look. But I decided not to, and have been pleased still. Dreaming of someday using those holes to fab up my own side rails

There's nothing under, it's just a pinchweld on the side. The front bumper was amazingly easy, just take your time is the best advice. And I hate plastic clips haha

My dad and I are currently in a disagreement. When I bedline, I need to go all the way to the door deals, right?
(Door seal meets frame at aux cord end) He thinks I should stop at the bottom rounded part of the frame shown.

I did it to here - http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/f67/s...l#post30631217

At the rear door I kind of rounded it up if you look closely just so it wasnt a straight line of bedliner. I was going for a more smoother finished look

After some excessive taping, first side is being painted!

If your using bedliner make sure it doesn't dry to the tape, or it'll be a job in itself trying to remove it

Agreed!! It took me a few nasty peeling attempts to learn this, but if the bedliner dries with the tape on still, it will most likely peel up the bedliner. I learned to do 2 or 3 quick coats and the immediately remove the tape.
