I have a black 2010 Grand Cherokee Laredo 4x4 with a 3.7 V6. I've already done a few things to The Dark Knight, but there's a long road ahead, and I figured now would be a good time to start a build thread.
When I bought this car in 2013, it had 54,000 miles and looked like this.
My first adds to The Dark Knight was some tint, a bug guard, and new wheels and tires. I specifically got American Racing 18" Mainline black wheels and 255/60r18 Nitto Terra Grapplers.
At one point, I had Westin running boards, but ended up removing and selling them. One of the main reasons I got rid of them was due to my Jeep refusing to take a Rough Country 2" lift. The struts wouldn't come out unless the UCA's were cut, which I wasn't prepared to pay for. I didn't like the look of The Dark Knight with running boards and without a lift, so I got rid of them. I'm happy the lift didn't work out, since the plan now is OME HD 2" with JBA UCA's.
Yesterday I added on a few more items. First was the Trail Rated badges. I measured them out and slapped them on. The adhesive is really strong, so make sure you have any badges that you're adding lined up correctly on your first try. I also added a MOPAR sticker, which looks pretty nice. It has a few small bubbles, but I'm not worried. The big add from yesterday was the Rola Roof Rack. The rack was actually really easy to assemble and install. The overall installment time was about 1 1/2 hours, and at least 30 minutes were spent just aligning it perfectly (or so I hope) on the cross bars. It's extremely sturdy, and I'd recommend it for any WK.
The Dark Knight build will be a slow build, so I won't be postin
