Customer Satisfaction Notification - P73

I received a notification today from Mopar Owner Connect about somewhat of a recall for my '07 WK CRD. Is anyone aware else aware of this?

Just popped up in my dashboard too. Looks like they're trying to catch everyone with old N23 recall flashes and make sure we have functional 4 Lo.

Yep, they "think" they have a fix for the errant service-4low error message. The earliest my shop could get me scheduled is June 23rd so unless someone gets this done earlier i'll report back on how my update goes.

Do you think I will get a notice in the mail about this? I have only had the N23 flash the first time, didnt bother to ever go back because I figured they would have an actual fix one day.

I haven't received a notice, nor has my dad and we both have 07 WKs, but when I searched my VIN for recalls it comes up for my jeep. Its booked in for next week.

though in all fairness, the campaign date listed on my vin search is may 19th, so they likely just haven't made it through the mail yet.

My dealer is calling it a recall and confirmed its free parts and labor. I'm scheduled tomorrow morning.

Yup. it is officially a recall and says that it is no charge. No need to screw around trying to get them to do a service bulletin update for free anymore

The real question here is do we learn from the first time and allow this fix to get fully baked by the majority or run in and bake it for'em? I'm personally on the fence.

Now does anyone have a write up on the mentioned Software update to make sure they fallow all the steps correctly?

Insert follow up. They made one attempt at the software flash, then instead of clearing the codes they tried to charge me $110 to diagnose the codes they were supposed to clear. Then kicked my warranty job out the door with the service light still on and no 4wd Lo shrugging their shoulders. That's par for a small one dealer town with the nearest city 150 miles away.

hopefully the dealer im booked at is more diligent. if not there are about 5 in town here. hope i dont end up wasting my time...

I suspect the software update procedure is just the july 29 update to the n23, maybe slightly tweaked. i was trying to get that update done and they were trying to charge me, lucky i saw this was out and came back and handed it to them. nothing to argue about anymore. now lets just hope they get it right

That's what I get for not reading lol.....I just posted a thread about this too.

I got an email from mycarfax about it, just called the dealership about it. They had to check to see if they had the software..called back and i'm scheduled for the 28th at 1pm. We'll see if it fixed the problem.

The question I have is, will this recall cover replacing the shift motor, if it's required, without opening a STAR case? I would think so, since it says it covers parts and labor.

In my case they claim that the 2 codes about my transfer case aren't part of the recall. Dejavu.
