Cruise control issues

Hello everyone,

Since I bought my '06 WK back in November the cruise control has never fully worked. When i turn it on the cruise light comes on in the dash, but when I press the button to set my speed it never engages, and often the cruise light will go off after I hit the set speed button. I know that bad wheel sensors can cause issues, and so can brake light switches; I had codes for both and thought the issue would be resolved when both were replaced -- it wasn't. Now I know that not having a working cruise control isn't the biggest deal to some, but I often times take long trips, and it's such a hassle to not have it. What do you guys suggest? Should I take it to the dealership to see if they can do anything?

Thank you for your help!

Hey Paul,

I would advise you to have the vehicle scanned for stored DTCs at a certified FCA dealership.
