so lately my 2008 CRD has been gettin progressively bad mileage

my evic was always around 12.4-12.6L/100km [18.6MPG]
my last tank was 13.5L/100km on fuelly [17.4MPG]
and now my evic reads 14.8L/100km [roughly 16.5 MPG ??]

i have gde eco tune w/ dpf delete aswell... [for over a year]

i do 0 highway driving but still ...

i was told to look into o2 sensor, but any other possibilities?

Hey, why don't you go ahead and Americanize those numbers for us?

As of right now, I don't see the problem. Lol

Hi TurboDiesel, I have the same problem. I was also told that it could be the O2 sensor.
Have ordered one and waiting for it to arrive.
Will let you know the result once I have fitted it.

Cheers, Craig

Have they switched to winter blend in Canada....probably so. For city driving in the winter this is not bad. Even here in SC I see numbers like that....

x2 on the winter fuel. Are you hand calculating or going by the EVIC. Mine is off anywhere from 2-4 mpg.

yea im assuming we have winter diesel now
it gets close to freezing at night now..

also remembered i installed new sub thursday then went burning around with my buddy
[install new sub = disconnect battery = reset stats]

so i guess 1L/100km or so isnt bad for winter diesel...ill keep an eye on it as i have to fill up today

i use fuelly to calculate...ill post my results when i fill up today

also Cherokee30D i have not ordered one as i was just told to look into it yesterday...ill see how my mileage goes but i am probably due for one anyways
please do let me know how it works for u tho

might also clean the MAF as it may be dirty from offroading and what not

thanks for the responses

Bad O2 will cause dtc ??
Bad O2 will make your exhaust gaz smoking black ... i.e richer then required ??

This happened to me. Front drivers side caliper had a piston stuck. Took a good hit on mileage before I could get it replaced.

Go for a half hour drive, then get out and feel the wheels near the hub. The dragging one will be quite hot. After a 14 km drive, I used my laser thermometer on it and the drivers side rotor read over 500 degrees C.

18 MPG with 0 highway driving. That sounds pretty good.
