CRD exhaust tip

I'm considering removing the resonator at the end of my stock CRD exhaust.

It's currently set up with a down turn exhaust at the tip. Would you guys recommend a similar style exhaust tip? Having a white car has me worried about soot build up from a straight tip, even though they look better in my opinion.

Stock piping is 2.75" diameter. What measurements would I need on an exhaust tip for proper fitting? Or can step up to fill the gap with another piece? I've seen nice ones with 4" receiving end, so I'm wondering if they're obsolete for my requirement.

The stock exhaust tip is tucked up in there tight so that it doesn't get hit by rocks, tree stumps, dirt piles, etc. etc. when you go offroading. I know it does not look very sexy but it doesn't soot up the back of your vehicle and adding a tip will seriously reduce your departure angle.

That's exactly what I want, but in black.

Did you get a straight pipe welded in there with a bolt on tip or get a tip welded?

Is it a 2.75" ID or OD pipe? I've been thinking of removing the resonator as well.
I've thought about just clamping a pipe on there, since I don't have a welder.

HaHaHa, and with the dpf delete you get pretty good smoke to enrich that outlaw image even more. I'd have to dye my hair first

Well, to be honest I haven't seen it because when I have my foot to the floor I'm to scared to look in the rear view mirror but my buddy claims there is smoke.

So what? I gotta get an exhaust cam now? I'm sure as hell not putting back my particulate filter. Ignorance was bliss untill my good buddy riding shotgun claims he spys smoke as we totally blow the luggage rack off a Toyota FJ.
