Commander Mods

Want to do some things to my Commander. Got some ideas, but would love some more. Lets hear about what you've done or are planning on doing. Pics would be great if you have them to share.

I've got a white one with black trim. Sticking with that theme I'd like to do black nurf bars and brush gaurd with some Hella lights. I'd also like to do black tail light protectors to mach the nurf bars. Performance wise I'd like to do dual exhaust, but not sure what brand. Pics to come...

Jimmy,

did you look through the threads on the first page? You'll see a Commander's pic page and Commander's owners thread.

Yeah. I looked through there, but didn't find any with to many mods other than some pics from big car shows. I'm looking for real world bolt ons for us non sponsored amachers...

The safari rack would be cool, but don't think it would fit in the garage and that would be an issue with the wife.

I'm gonna keep it simple at first with a few exterior add ons. I like these so far...

Jimmy:

Big fan of the front bull bar. Clean and simple

Not a fan of the tailight guards. If you hit anything (not saying you would) but instead of breaking an easily replaceable tailight, (~$100-$150) you will have tons of body damage and a tailight looking pretty. I'd pass on those.

Just info from what I've heard around the forum. Not a lot of fans of them.

This is a 4x2 grocery getter... Not expecting to actually use the gaurds for what they where intended for. I see what you're saying though. Just looking to do some simple add ons to toughin it up a bit.

The bull bar and guards are a nice choice. If you're not gonna be offroading much the guards should be ok. The black on white would be sweet. What kinda wheels do you have?

This Wrangler's really sharp lookin

Taillight guards actually saved the body of my Tahoe in a tight parking garage ramp where the rear side scraped the wall. So, I am a fan of those. I don't have any on my Commander though.
