Cobra 75 WX ST Install Location?

Any reason I'll regret this install point? Looks clean, wasn't too bad to do.

Seems like a decent place. Do you not have a need for the power outlet there? You could also mount it on the back side of the kick panel under the steering wheel. Then it is out of site until you need it. It would be easy to pop the panel down and connect the hand set running the cable out of the little notch. Just another opton!

That's a nice spot for it. Very clean install. I don't think I've ever used that outlet.

I agree it is a clean spot. I just know that I have used both outlets on a couple occasions. Everyone has different needs though!

Yeah, most of my stuff is hard-wired. Plus, I added an aux plug inside my center console long ago so I could keep devices stowed away while charging. I hate seeing wires laying around.

I've never used both power outlets, so I should be OK there. I love the idea of putting an AUX plug in the center console for discrete charging. I avoided the kick panel as I already seem to bang my knees enough as it is. I never thought about using the back side of the kick panel, I like that idea, but don't think I'll be moving it. Thanks guys.

Nice spot, but I use that plug all the time. Here is where I put mine:

image-882727734.jpg

I removed the rear seat cup holder and added the wooden container. The black box is a 4x5 plastic box from Radio Shack. The CB part is at the bottom and I installed a dual USB port and relocated my 110v plug there. The CB cables I run past my seat.

Nicely done - the cup holder is nearly useless anyway (as my 8 year old proves every time he gets in the Jeep). I was wondering this morning if I could modify the cup holder tray to be some sort of locking Glock holder...

How do you like this cb radio. I was thinking of getting one but I want to hear what you guys have to say. Also I've been reading that it is a good idea to hook up a speaker for it. Let me know
