clicking under the front end

05 jgc limited 5.7 in reverse under full steer a intermittent click comes front driver side so I jacked up the tire and tugged on the top and the sides and no movement so bearings are still good. Pulled the tire off and started trying to move stuff and I have some play on the Cv axle. What's the cause? What else can I check? And is this much play normal?

clicking while turning usually means your cv joint is going.
