Hey man. The Jeep is looking good. What kind of antenna do you have? The rear antenna is the next project I will be working on. I get HORRIBLE FM reception and hopefully a larger antenna will help. What kind of antenna did you get and how big is it? I like the look and I don't think I want to get one too small.

Thanks! The rear antenna is actually for my CB radio, and it's a 3' Firestick II with a tunable tip. I made the mount myself, but you probably saw that part...

I've not heard of anyone getting a bigger antenna, although someone did install an FM amplifier to get better radio reception (want to say they lived in Montana). Think they found it online for like $100 and mounted it inline between the antenna and the head unit.

And I'm not sure what name the Dually's are- they are the 4 bulb version, not the bigger 6 bulbs....

Now... this may be a stupid question, but is there any difference between a CB Antenna and an AM/FM Antenna's... or is it the same thing?

What do you mean by tunable tip. Apparently there's more to an antenna than I really thought! I was going to buy a mount, but maybe I'll just build one, too. Seems pretty straightforward.

Yeah, here in the hills of Western North NJ, the signals coming from NYC get a bit staticy... apparently because of the iron ore in the mountains (or so I have been told). I have seen those inline amplifiers, but I like the look of the antenna in the back. Thought I'd try that out first.

LED lightbar has been here almost a week, but I haven't had time to do more than open the box and take some quick measurements. Got to fab some mounting brackets for my roofrack and run the new wiring harness and then Ill be good to go. Of course this is just a teaser shot, and the Duallys are already sold. It will be a jump from about 5200 lumens total from the 4 Duallys to 14,400 lumens from my new 30"! Not to shabby of an upgrade!

I finally got around to mounting and wiring this up. Ill get some day shots tomorrow, sorry for the dark images. The two similar show the change from low's to the LED. It's unbelievable! So glad I got this, and still can't get over the price for so much light

Here are a few shots from today's trip to an OHV park, called Big Red in Shawnee, OK. About 20 rides from 3 different Oklahoma Jeep Clubs met up for the day of wheel'n. Thankfully the only damage was some new pinstripes thanks to some poorly groomed trails. I even ventured to and up the "Mod Hill" that has been known to eat tops, mirrors, and fenders off wranglers.

And the new light was a huge hit! Its so much more quiet on the highway than my 4 Dually's were, puts out nearly 3 times the light, and just generally looks mean sitting up there.

Picked up my next project yesterday. Having the pieces of my mount cut on a CNC burn table and should have the mount built this week if all goes well. Have a few tricks up my sleeve on this one
