Bradbb2005 Build Thread - Suggestions Welcome

Hi everyone,

I just traded my 2006 Ram 1500 for a 2008 WK limited HEMI QD-II and will be doing some modifications slowly.

92,500 miles.

I do have to have the dealer still fix some problems,

1. Service 4WD soon light comes on when attempting 4Low.

2. Liftgate open message (Found the wire swap TSB and gave it to dealer).

3. Remote Start starts, then shuts off 5 seconds later.

4. Driver's side window goes up on auto, then comes back halfway.

One problem I do have that occurred after i bought it was the P013C code, which cleared itself but then P0430 came up afterwards, I'm hoping manifolds aren't the culprit , but I don't know if they will cover it, but we will see. The first 4 are in writing to be fixed so I am good there.

I will be taking any suggestions to heart, I have had 2 other GCs, a Cherokee, and 2 Liberty's, cant get away!

Welcome to the WK club! That silver color is pretty sweet looking.

What are you planning for your first mods??

First thing is first, the 18's have to go. So I'm going to be looking for some stock 17s and couple that with a 2" lift, probably a BB for now, and some 265/70s most likely General Grabber AT2.

Where are you from? I have some stock 17s I'm looking to unload. They're the Everest style.

Plattsburgh, NY 12901 I prefer to get a 5 spoke design, but would consider it.

the remote start issue is due to a CEL being on... i know when mine had one on it would start and shut off a few seconds later. if i cleared the CEL it would start and run fine.

great looking rig, good luck with the build- id recommend the RC BB, or if you want a small BB id go daystar i kinda like the look with the 18ss and the chrome with the mineral gray.

Ouch... $8500 is probably skating the line for the insurance to send you a check for a totaled vehicle vs fixing it.

Ouch !! I don't think a bar would have helped. May have just pushed him up into the windshield. If it were my car I think I would insist the insurance co total it. Or sell it after it's fixed.

So, after getting it fixed, $9,500.00 total (would have had to been 13k to total) I have it back.

I had to put tires on it so I threw my JK Moabs on with some 245/70-17 General Grabbers on 1.25" spacers. It looks pretty decent.

The change...

Some Views...
