Bought Before the Incentives, Kind of Pissed

Is anyone else out there, kind of pissed, having bought the Commander when it first came out in September 2005, or so, and missed the current rebates of gas, maintenance and extended warranty?

I got the $1500 rebate, so that kind of evens out the gas, but the maintenance would have been nice, and of course, the warranty would have been key.

Any suggestions? Or am I just screwed for buying too early? Was hoping to somehow finesse coverage out of the manufacturer...

I bought about two weeks before the new incentives were announced and yes, it did bother me some. Most of all I would like to have the extended warranty which I can buy at a price. I should have known better..........sales were slow, profits down for the big auto makers, rumors of incentives.........but I wanted it now. Timing is the single most important move in purchasing and my timing was off. Chalk it up to experience and move on. The Commander is a great SUV and we love it.

Ditto here too! Bought mine 11/3.

I even wrote to Jeep, which, of course, reassured me I got all I was entitled to at the time of purchase.

I was going to write to Jeep too.

Thanks for saving me the time.

But, it could be worse.

It's a great vehicle, no complaints on that side. Thanks for helping me keep it in perspective.

yeah, got the $1500 rebate... missed out on all the extras... not pissed at all... being my first New car, and the one i had wanted since i read about them in June... my own fault... but i bought when i was ready... if i had to do it again, i'd still have bought it in the beginning of Nov. hated the crappy car i had before.

and!!! now my WIFE has a Jeep too... '97 TJ - although i get to drive it alot more, since it's a soft top, and we live in MN... love 'em both...
