Blurry backup camera.

This is a lame question, but my OE backup camera is not very clear when viewing on my OE display. I've cleaned the lens with a soft cloth and some lens cleaner, but it still is not very clear. I can make out what's behind me, but it's generally a little blurry (day or night). I'm not expecting 4K TV quality, but I'd think it would at least be not blurry. Am I being too picky? Does anyone else experience this? Thanks in advance.

My 08 WK, compared to a 2012 Honda that I also drive, is quite poor. The camera is adequate to prevent major problems, but certainly not nice.

Yeah, it sucks. It's like 1960s apollo moon landing quality. I rely on the back up sensors and my eyes.

mine is really poor. better picture in the daytime, really bad at night. I even added led bulbs in the back up lights and a driving light under the bumper.
no improvement. one of the many things I love about my wk

The clarity of the camera was a complaint when Car and Driver reviewed these Jeeps when new. Just replace it with the newer technology cameras.

I can't take the horrible backup camera anymore. My wife has a 2011 GC and her camera is so much clearer than mine on the 2010.
Has anyone replaced the factory camera?? I'd like to get something to fit in the factory mounting location. I don't mind soldering some wires to complete the hook up but I do want a factory look from the back of the rig. Could I remove the camera from its housing and insert the 2011 camera? I know the wire connector is different, but splicing that wont be hard if the camera fits in the hole

Another bump on replacing the WK factory backup camera! Anyone have a post they can link? Should be a sticky!

I've installed two basic HD cameras on my older Chevys and they are clear.
